The CJC in the 17th World Festival of the Youth and the Students
The Collective of Young Communists, CJC, as an organization member of the World Federation of Democratic Youth, has taken part historically of the Festivals that have been organizing by the Federation. In that occasion, we’ll take part of the 17th World Festival of the Youth and the Students that will be carried out in South Africa in that year, December. That Festival, dedicated to Fidel Castro and to Nelson Mandela, will be carried out in South Africa, country that contained the fight against the apartheid, against the racism and against the imperialism. Once shaped the Plurinational Preparatory Committee the last 4th July in Madrid, the CJC urge to all our militancy to begin the festival preparation work in each place, in each territory, setting up more preparatory committees with the rest of young and anti-imperialist organizations that exist in their reality. The one big challenge constitutes in make a delegation by the Spanish State side that can be a faithful reflection of the anti-imperialist fight. Is necessary to make a hope for the solidarity movement with Cuba, for the Bolivarian movement, for the different internationalist platforms, just as make frameworks that could be adequate to incorporate to organizations and members many nations from the Spanish State, where anti-imperialist fights are more developed. We also think that it’s a great occasion to bind the festivals movement with the anti-fascist movement in the Spanish State, as talk about South Africa is impossible don’t mention and taking as an example the long fight of their people against the fascist regime of the apartheid. However, the preparatory work for the festival don’t have as a unique aim to shape an Spanish State delegation, but also to bring nearer the global festival experiences to the biggest number of young people possible in the Spanish State, and achieve the greater politic diffusion of their contents. In that sense, three member organizations (CJC, UJCE and CJC from Catalonia) are the origin of the Spanish State Plurinational Preparatory Committee, but the objective is to incorporate to the highest number of anti-imperialist organizations in all the levels, as state as national, regional, local… We want a festival whose work in the Spanish State would be massive, combative, settled in an anti-imperialist and anti-fascist politic that can be used as overcoming of the movement and organizations spread across. Therefore our bid is for the most of the anti-imperialist and revolutionary young sectors alliance to can develop a great support and participation campaign in that festival, that also will be historic for be the first that is organized in a Sub-Sahara African country. Because the development of the festivals and the anti-imperialist international movement is a matter of ideological coherence, of commitment and solidarity with the peoples, and not a way to take international political credit.
